Easter egg decorating....

(one day I will figure out how to get the pictures in the order that I want, this is going out of order.) Ok, so this year we played around with decorating eggs, as you can see from the pictures we did some tyed died eggs. I think the boys really enjoyed doing that part. Heidi just loves doing eggs. The other egg decorating that we did, was with silk ties. Mens silk ties. If you google tyed died eggs, you can find the site, if you can't email me and I will send you the link. But all you do is cut your bottom part of your tie out. basically take it all apart and get the fat end. wrap up your RAW egg as tightly as you can without breaking it. Use some sandwich ties, to secure the ends. (take some pictures of the eggs wrapped up) Then you have to wrap again with another cloth, I used some old muslin that I had, but it says you can use old sheets, or pillowcases, something that is a solid in color and light fabric. You place them in a pot and cover them with water, bring to a boil then simmer for 20 mins. let cool in a strainer, and the have fun unwrap, your design is done. no mess, no color anywhere, simple and easy. The darker the colors the better. I will be seaching out garage sales for ties, this summer. Really neat and fun.
