Oven Woes....

My oven has been broke since the end of september sometime. For all you out that that now me I use my oven allot. So, I have been waiting patiently for it to get fixed. A friend of mine mentioned that I have made too many pumpkin muffins this year. That was great. Yes, I have made my share of pumpkin muffins this year. I started to keep track and somewhere around august I lost track of how many I was making. I also make pumpkin waffles as well, and lost track of that too. So, anyway the "brain box" to my oven is apparently not working or talking to my oven. I can't understand that since there were no codes that came across to tell me what was wrong. (because there are suppose to be some codes that come across) But anyway it is broke. The repair shop kindly let me know that one of the parts is no longer being made. That didn't make me very happy, since it is not very old and it is still a fine oven. The piece that is not being made anymore is a overlay. It goes over the brain box. you know the buttons that you push to change temp and so on? so, since they are hooked together, you really can't save the overlay from being damaged when you replace the brain box. So, I was not really happy to about this, this turned out to be not a fun day. I did some research on the net and it really isn't being made anymore. I was just amazed that it was not being made anymore and there was no replacement piece for it. So, I did some more research and did locate a piece that is and appears to be the same thing. now this piece that I am refering to, is a plastic thing piece that has sticky stuff on the back to adhere to the brain box. This piece.....well lets just say it better be the right one. The repair people are coming back tomorrow. So, throw up some arrow prayers for my stove. I don't want to get a new one. My husband did graciously offer to get me a new stove, but i declined. There is nothing wrong with the oven and it was killing me to have to throw this out because of alittle piece of plastic. (I hope this works tomorrow) How have I been cooking you ask? Well for me that hasn't been so easy, but it has worked. I have a big roaster oven, and desided to read the book on it and see what i can make in it. I have made muffins, bread, and Heidi's birthday cake in there. Meatloaf and I can't remember what else. I did come to a mind road block since I just need my Oven! We are all waiting patiently so we can make pizza. Wish me luck tomorrow!
